Alexander Aamodt Kilde and Mikaela Shiffrin get engaged.

INNSBRUCK, Austria — Mikaela Shiffrin and Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, two of the most influential skiers in the world, have recently revealed that they are engaged to be married.

In one of the many photographs that they shared on their social media accounts, Shiffrin, who has won a record 97 World Cup races and has won two Olympic titles, is seen holding her ring up to the camera.

Previously, Aamodt Kilde won the overall World Cup championship, and he has also won two medals at the Olympic Games

The season of the Norwegian, who was 31 years old at the time, came to an end in January when he was involved in an accident that occurred during a downhill race in Wengen, Switzerland.

A number of years have passed since they began dating.

Shiffrin, who is 29 years old, finished her season three weeks ago with a record-breaking sixty percent victory in the slalom competition and a total of ninety-seven victories at the World Cup finals.

The knee injury that the American acquired in January, when he was involved in a downhill accident

in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, had previously caused him to be sidelined for a period of six weeks.
