Biden may struggle to be on Ohio's general election ballot, says the top elections commissioner.

According to the letter that was obtained by News, Ohio's Secretary of State issued a statement on Friday indicating that it is possible that the Democratic National Convention would take place too late for Vice President Joe Biden to be included on the ballot for the general election in the state. 

This statement was made in reference to the possibility that the convention should take place on Friday.

Which occurs more than a week after the deadline of August 7 to certify a presidential candidate to the office." This information was included in the letter.

News was the first news organization to come forth with information regarding the existence of this letter and the contents of it.

In the note, LaRose continues by stating that the oversight can be rectified in two different ways: either by the Democratic Party moving up its nominating convention.

Or by getting the Ohio state legislature to "create an exemption to this statutory requirement" by May 9, which is ninety days before the effective date of a new law. 

Both of these options are available to rectify the oversight. Both of these choices are open to consideration. Additionally, a copy of the letter was sent to Ohio State Representative Allison Russo.

Who serves as the minority leader in the state House of Representatives, as well as Ohio State Senator Nickie Antonio, who serves as the minority leader in the state Senate.

On the other hand, neither the campaign of Vice President Joe Biden nor the Ohio Democratic Party reacted in a timely manner to the requests.
