Bills trade Stefon Diggs to Texans for 2025 second-round pick.

According to sources, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport revealed on Wednesday that the Buffalo Bills are dealing Diggs to the Houston Texans for a 2025 second-round pick and a 2024 sixth-round pick (No. 189 overall). The Bills announced the transaction.

After being traded from Minnesota in 2020, Diggs led the NFL with 127 catches and 1,535 yards in his debut season with Josh Allen and achieved 1,100-plus yards in each of his four seasons in Buffalo.

"I adore and respect Buffalo beyond words. The city welcomed me for four of my best years. "I'm forever grateful to you and the Bills organization!" Diggs posted on Instagram Wednesday night. Something special was formed with some great men throughout these years that will always be special to me. Longtime Billsmafia, many fantastic memories. Because of you, those games were insane. Sadly, good things end till we meet again. 14."

Diggs should help rookie running back Joe Mixon see light boxes for most of the season. Houston's offense looks great with tight end Dalton Schultz and a good offensive line in 2024.

This offseason, general manager Nick Caserio capitalized on his young Pro Bowl quarterback. Stroud is poised to rise following an award-winning debut season.

The departure of Ken Dorsey and the promotion of Joe Brady to offensive coordinator last season reduced Diggs' role. The wideout never reached 100 yards in the final seven regular season games and two playoff games, and his playtime dropped from 90% to 60%.

Last offseason, Diggs missed part of obligatory minicamp, prompting Sean McDermott to say he was "very concerned" about him. The team and Diggs moved forward from that offseason drama, but it was never easy.

Buffalo lost Gabe Davis to the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency and Diggs to Houston, leaving a huge receiver need. Allen prioritizes Khalil Shakir, Curtis Samuel, Mack Hollins, K.J. Hamler, and Justin Shorter. Most predictions predicted a Bills first-round receiver. Mocks will increase after Diggs' news.
