Iowa wins Women's Final Four against UConn to face South Carolina in final game.

The Iowa Hawkeyes will play the South Carolina Gamecocks in the NCAA women's championship game on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET.

If they win the trophy Sunday, the undefeated Gamecocks will finish the season 38-0 after leading NC State early tonight.

UConn and Iowa played a thrilling game to the last millisecond. All-time scorer Caitlin Clark led her squad to the finals with help from Hannah Stuelke.

After the game, Stuelke noted her teammates "did a great job getting me the ball." “Caitlin here, she’s a great passer,” she remarked. Iowa started the fourth quarter well, "came up with some big baskets" and played "great offense," Clark said.

"Sometimes that’s just what you need to win, my teammates stepped up and did a really good job, made some great baskets when we needed it," said. Even with Iowa's fast pace, this is the weakest defensive team. Hawkeyes' defense ranks 22nd nationally. They'll strive to win by outscoring their opponents rather than shutting them down.

In this tournament, only West Virginia in the second round has slowed Iowa's offense, and the Hawkeyes hit 5 of 22 from 3-point range. Only three assists for Clark in that contest. The Huskies are balanced, ranking fifth offensively and second defensively. Their opponents shoot 36% from the field.

UConn rarely reaches the line. Every other Final Four team had 18.9 or more attempts than the Huskies' 15.3.

UConn has held all four opponents under 34% from the field this tournament. The Huskies finished 17 of 27 versus Southern California in the regional final despite getting to the line often.
