Mann leads 8 Clippers in double figures in 131-102 win over Jazz. Utah loses 11 straight.

The city of Los Angeles — The Utah Jazz have lost 11 in a row before losing 131-102 to the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night, with Terance Mann scoring 19 points and eight other players reaching double figures. Despite missing his third consecutive game due to a painful right knee, Kawhi Leonard was unnecessary for the Clippers.

With 13 points, 15 assists, and 10 rebounds, James Harden recorded his third triple-double of the season. The Clippers won both games in a row with Thursday's 102-100 victory over Denver. Ivica Zubac scored 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, while Paul George chipped in with 14 points.

In his statement, George emphasized that they were serious and did not waste time. "Right from the opening whistle, we were the dominant team. Simply maintaining our concentration was a huge success. For the Clippers, it was their first double-digit scoring performance since May 16, 2021, against Oklahoma City.

The Jazz were led by 17 points off the bench by Talen Horton-Tucker. Starting in Walker Kessler's absence, Omer Yurtseven finished with 12 points and seven boards. Utah's bench scored 63 points more than the starting lineup.

Upon hearing the opening tip, the Clippers bolted. In the first quarter, they shot 74% from the field and built leads of 17-2, 26-7, and 36-11, eventually leading to a 41-16 score. As a reserve player for the Clippers, Norman Powell set a franchise record with his 150th 3-pointer. His final tally was 18 points.

It was coach Tyronn Lue's challenge to his team to get off to the right start that the Clippers made public. "That was our discussion, confirming our victory from the previous night." In the second quarter, Harden was one of the bench players that saw action. He contributed to their 75-42 halftime lead by making one of their six 3-pointers.

Despite a 37-28 third-quarter scoring advantage, the Jazz were unable to pull within 20 points. The Clippers took a 103-79 advantage into the fourth quarter thanks to a 3-pointer by Powell that ended the third quarter. "Our defense has been slowing us down," Lue stated.

In the fourth, as the stadium began to fill up, both sides primarily used their bench players. While starting three rookies, Utah has dropped 14 of their last 15 games. Next week, the clubs will play for the last time this season.
