RFK Jr. calls Biden a greater threat to democracy than Trump.

On Monday, independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said President Joe Biden is a bigger threat to democracy than GOP contender Donald Trump.

Kennedy said on CNN that Biden "has used the federal agencies to censor political speech," referring to a Supreme Court case that could effect government-social media content removal communication.

Last month, a majority of Supreme Court justices appeared to be dubious of claims that the Biden administration was illegally instructing social media firms to remove objectionable content.

“I can make the argument that President Biden is the much worse threat to democracy, and that is because he is the first candidate and president to use federal agencies to censor political speech... to censor his opponent,” Kennedy added.

“I can say that because I just won a case in the federal court of appeals and now before that Supreme Court that shows that he started censoring,” Kennedy added.

A inquiry about the legal case he mentioned was not answered by the Kennedy campaign. Kennedy, a renowned anti-vaccine activist, spreads vaccine and Covid falsehoods on social media. Kennedy's anti-vaccine Children's Health Defense group was banned from Meta-owned Instagram and Facebook in 2022 for disseminating disinformation about vaccines and Covid.

"Robert F. Kennedy Jr. laid to rest tonight any doubts that he’s a spoiler candidate by pushing his MAGA talking points in prime time," she said. Kennedy's uncle, Sen. Edward Kennedy, had Cahill as his chief of staff. When asked for response, the Biden campaign referred to the DNC. Biden's re-election campaign contrasts his efforts to defend democracy with Trump's.

Biden allies worry that Kennedy may steal votes from the president and help Trump win, so several Kennedy family members have spoken out in support of Biden and against RFK Jr. In Monday's CNN interview, he falsely claimed the 2000 and 2004 elections were "stolen."Trump repeatedly falsely says the 2020 election was stolen. Rioters who broke into the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, cited his lies.
