Taylor Swift wins iHeartRadio Artist of the Year: Fans, it's up to you

At the beginning of National Poetry Month, Taylor Swift is being honored as the "Artist of the Year" for the iHeartRadio Music Awards.

The singer who was on the Eras Tour did not make an appearance at the awards presentation in Los Angeles, nor did she walk the yellow carpet. At the Dolby Theatre, AJ McLean of the Backstreet Boys and Lance Bass of N'Sync were the ones that started off the presentation of her award.

"I wanted to say thank you so much to anyone who voted for this award," the singer said in a video that took place after the award was presented. "To the fans, it's completely up to you to choose how you spend your time, what concerts you want to go to, what music do you want to make the soundtrack to your life, and to anyone who has included me in those choices, I'm so so so thankful for that."

The six prizes that Swift won are highlighted in bold below. She was nominated for ten awards. At the iHeartRadio Music Awards, the artists and songs that have had the most airplay over the course of the previous year are honored.

Beginning in 2015, Swift has been a part of the awards event on five separate occasions, with the most recent accomplishment being her acceptance of the Innovator Award in 2017.

This is what she stated while wearing her dazzling "Midnights" bodysuit. "You have to give yourself permission to fail," she continued. "Despite the fact that I will do all in my power to avoid failing because it is embarrassing, I do give myself permission to fail, and you should do the same.

Take it easy on yourselves and just follow your gut instincts and make the decisions that are best for you. Also, there is a possibility that one day someone will consider you to be inventive.
