The 6th of April  When the Powerball drawing takes place on Saturday night, individuals will have the opportunity to win a jackpot that is more than $1.3 billion, making it the seventh highest lottery jackpot in the history of the United States.

On Sunday, at 0300 GMT, the drawing will take place at 11 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). This will be the 41st drawing since the last Powerball winner won the jackpot on New Year's Day.

It is necessary for the winner or winners to match the correct six double-digit numbers on a ticket that costs $2. There is a one in 292.2 million chance that something like that will occur.

The award is slightly more than half of the previous record for the greatest payout in the history of the United States lottery. It is currently the fourth-largest Powerball jackpot

This occasion occurred in November 2022, when a single person in the state of California won the Powerball jackpot, which was worth $2.04 billion.

One ticket won a massive $1.13 billion in the Mega Millions drawing that took place last week. This is the fifth-largest prize in the history of the game, and it was won by a single ticket that matched all six numbers. The state of New Jersey was the location where that ticket was purchased.

The prize that was handed out in the drawing that took place on Saturday has a cash value of around $608.9 million, and the lucky winner has the option of accepting it in a single lump amount. Alternatively, you might make an initial payment, which would then be followed by 29 annual installments.

In addition to Puerto Rico, tickets for the Powerball lottery can be purchased in 45 states, the District of Columbia, and the United States Virgin Islands.
